Little Voices, Big Hope:
Art by the Children of Bucha

In partnership with DOVIRA, we are proud to present this online exhibition of children’s Christmas illustrations.

DOVIRA has collected these drawings from partnering schools in Bucha, showing themes of light despite being surrounded by air-raid alarms, power outages and disrupted routines as their new reality. These artworks carry a message of hope, gratitude, light, and peace — something especially powerful coming from a city that the world knows through tragedy.

We have presented this exhibition digitally as a cultural gesture that reflects our era and their story; the children of Bucha are already a generation whose childhoods are unfolding not in classical museums and gallery halls, but in a reality where unfortunately, the online world often becomes the safest place to exist.

It is our hope that a digital exhibition will allow their artwork to be seen by a more widespread, international audience. It is a way to show the world that they live, create, and feel like many other children at this time of year. Even in their harsh new reality, they continue to seek the light.

These are not just drawings, but small rays of love that they have sent out into the world.
